Val Thorens and children

Val Thorens has been awarded the "Famille Plus Montagne" label (awarded to resorts offering excellent facilities for families) and has plenty to attract children and their parents. It has three crèches and playgroups for infants from the age of three months onwards, with day-care facilities, a snowsports area, play room, rest room and restaurant.

For older children there are special junior areas, a Boarder cross and a Snowpark where they can have fun trying out new snowsports and different ways of skiing and snowboarding.

From 12 years and upwards, your children will love hurtling down the 6-kilometre long toboggan run in the evenings. There will be giggles and laughter all the way...so make sure you join in the fun!

To add variety to your holiday, Val Thorens also has a large aquatic centre with swimming pools and whirlpools, and a fun park with trampolines, bouncy castles, slides and lots of games for the youngest members of your family.

Special events are also organised for children during certain periods (school holidays), such as downhill skiing processions by torchlight, ski-jumping events and shows on the slopes and firework displays.
