The creative soul

"Agnes is the subject. I do the research. After that, we work hand in hand. Francine Conejero has been working for les Montagnettes for more than a decade. She met at Studio Arch, the architects she worked for at the time (she was responsible for the decoration of the St Jacques du Montana hotel in Tignes), and works closely with Agnès Girard, but also with marketing and, more broadly, with all the departments.

For le TaosFor the first time, they "didn't go and see what hotels in the Rockies look like", preferring to work on instinct. "We let ourselves be immersed in the people, the landscapes, the colours, the children, the local culture. The human side comes out of this "everything". A certain way of life. We try to imagine places that are as alive as possible. In fact, the sensual charm of the materials appeals to our senses, to our tactile impulses. The gracefulness of the silks calls for a caress. Indeed, it is impossible to evoke the New Mexico region without evoking the fabric. Daring mixes have been made between ethnic-inspired fabrics and natural materials such as boiled wool, which is similar to felt, and which the decorator has fallen for. El Caballo, a magnificent wooden horse in the reception area, is a unique piece from the furniture counter, found on Maison et objets.

The linchpin

Whether in the lounge or the reception area, the colours selected for each room in the hotel create a hyper-zen atmosphere, with old blues and slightly faded colours that are close to natural pigments. In the same way, all the lighting and furniture (bar, restaurant tables, etc.) were designed by Francine before being made to measure by the craftsmen. In the rooms of the suites, paintings have been drawn on wood.
There is no doubt that Francine is the driving force behind the extra soul of the groupe Montagnettes.
