Lizzie in Chamonix: The elegance of an era, the character of a place
Meet Lizzie, a new Belle Époque boutique hotel in Chamonix, opening in December 2026 at the foot of Mont Blanc. The hotel is named after Elizabeth Le Blond, a photographer, traveler, and mountaineer who never followed the beaten path. Housed in a Haussmann-inspired building facing the glaciers, the hotel brings to life the energy of the Alpine Belle Époque: a warm and exuberant elegance, where every molding and every piece of woodwork tells a story. During their stay, travelers don’t just discover a place—they step into an era.
Lizzie
A French brasserie with a Victorian feel in the heart of Chamonix
The generosity of a French brasserie, the intimacy of an English club.
In Chamonix, Lizzie’s restaurant offers French brasserie cuisine with English touches, in a Victorian setting inspired by British clubs. Leather armchairs, low seating, and soft lighting: the atmosphere evokes a living room from another era—quiet and intimate, reminiscent of the Alpine Belle Époque. The menu, generous and straightforward, draws inspiration from the British travelers who played a part in the valley’s history.
The spirit of exploration, all year round in Chamonix
In Chamonix, the spirit of exploration knows no season. Lizzie’s ski shop outfits travelers with skis and snowboards, ready to set out to conquer the peaks just like the pioneers before them. Whether on foot or on skis, the valley’s trails inspire the same curiosity that once drove the first mountaineers. The train takes you to neighboring villages in just a few minutes, allowing you to extend your exploration beyond Chamonix. And for those who prefer a more leisurely pace, the nearby golf course offers a green retreat at the foot of the glaciers.
Between hot and cold, a wellness retreat with a view of Mont Blanc
Lizzie’s spa, open to everyone in Chamonix, features a sauna, a hammam, and a heated outdoor pool, open from April through October. Facing Mont Blanc, the view stands out as one of the most beautiful in the valley, offering bathers a rare, intimate encounter with the peak that has made Chamonix legendary. Here, the warmth of the hammam and the crispness of the alpine air complement each other, echoing the spirit of daring and contrast that has always defined Lizzie. A moment of respite, suspended between glaciers and wellness.
