Golf in Tignes

Golf in Tignes - Come and challenge the highest golf course in Europe!

The resort of Tignes is full of all kinds of activities for thrill-seekers and families in search of relaxation.

Its most unusual activity? High altitude golf with its 18-hole course nestled at 2100m, an opportunity to test your skills on a course full of twists and turns while enjoying the benefits of the fresh air.

Designed by Philippe Valant and situated on the shores of Lac de Tignes, the 5005m - Par 68 "Les Marmottes" course is renowned for its playfulness and sportiness (pronounced gradient). It's sure to please both amateur and precision golfers.
Numerous courses are available on site to help you discover the game of golf while enjoying a stroll in the mountains, or to perfect your game.

Golf in Tignes

The golf course in front of the lake of Tignes

In an enchanting setting, with a backdrop of mineral mountains, glaciers, lakes and flowery areas, the Marmottes course offers an exceptional environment to play golf with friends or in pairs, to try out the activity or to perfect both the great game and the approach.

Located in the middle of a preserved nature, you will have the privilege to play on a course where the monotony is not of setting. Slopes, roughs, bunkers, narrow fairways, lake, waterways and natural obstacles specific to mountain areas will allow you to test your mastery of gestures and to redouble your creativity to arrive on the green without any trouble. Beware of marmots who, amused and used to the presence of players, like to cross the green to land. Be careful that they don't take a ball from you as they pass, as the course's inhabitants are not at all shy.

Although hilly, the course is well designed to facilitate the climbs (holes 1 to 9) but has some physical climbs (hole 17 in particular). For those who wish to enjoy the panorama without getting tired, buggies are available on reservation to combine relaxation and practice without difficulty.

At the start of the 7 (green placed at 160m), you will overhang the course and a good part of Tignes Lac, at 120m above the flag. The view is magnificent!

Another point of interest on the course is hole 14 with its proximity to the lake and its fairway crossed by a crystal clear stream.

The driving range

When you think of a golf course, you think of a driving range. On the side of the mountain, this one is particularly playful. At the foot of the vertiginous Tufs corridors, it will allow you to work on your swing and your approaches on 15 posts, 4 of which are covered.

Here again, the Marmots are at the rendezvous and have fun with the rhythm of the balls which run on the practice area. Before taking to the fairway, take a moment in the practice area to prepare yourself for what promises to be a colourful game.

A putting green will also allow you to come and warm up before taking the course or simply to come and test your skill at the small game.

Mid Golf and Foot Golf

In the middle of the course, a compact synthetic course of 9 holes has been created to satisfy golf lovers who are beginners or who wish to practice on a more compact format.

It is also on this course that you can try a friendly discipline in full expansion, Foot Golf. What is it, you ask? Well, Foot Golf is an elegant form of football (the practice of this sport at a high level is governed by unique rules of dress etiquette) and is played on a golf course, following the same rules, in solo or in teams. It consists of hitting a target/hole or a flag with foot strikes, in as few strokes as possible and as quickly as possible. Accessible, this discipline allows groups of friends or families to spend a moment of relaxation and sharing without necessarily going through the technical constraints of golf. A must to discover to ensure a few good laughs! Ready to try it?

The mini-golf in Tignes

A family activity par excellence, mini-golf allows you to share unique moments together around a fun and entertaining course. No particular skill is required for this activity, which will delight young and old alike. It is not uncommon for the youngest to beat their elders on this configuration where daring and play prevail over technique!

What's so special about Tignes mini-golf?
As well as being fun, the course is also educational. Each hole is an opportunity to learn more about the local flora and fauna, including the wonderful flowers that adorn the estate.

The Golf de Tignes aims to encourage practice while guaranteeing optimal integration into the natural environment (100% organic and natural fertilisers, respect for wildlife, etc.) and sharing the love of a protected and unspoilt nature.

Restaurant du Golf : After the effort, the comfort

The Golf Restaurant is open to all for lunch and dinner with its chalet overlooking the course and its outdoor tables for refreshments or snacks after the round, not far from the driving range and one of the most spectacular holes on the course. What could be more pleasant, after a game with family or friends, than to share experiences and recall the highlights of the day over a gourmet snack!
