During the summer of 2023, Montagnettes will not be opening its Belle Plagne establishments, but that doesn't stop us from being inspired for our upcoming summer vacations. We look forward to seeing you at Taos in Tignes, located less than 5 minutes walk from the lake. A multitude of trails for your holidays in La Plagne
In an idyllic setting, at the bend of a stream, between the trees or perched on a flowery mountain pasture, each mountain setting brings you a little more of the relaxation you need at the moment. At La Plagne, enjoy rejuvenating hiking activities, with family or friends!
Our advice before going on a hike
It is essential to be properly equipped: good walking shoes, a cap or hat to avoid sunstroke, sunglasses and sunscreen are de rigueur. Don't forget a water bottle filled with water as well as a snack for a snack break in front of the Tarentaise valley. Also ask about the weather before you leave, as the weather in the mountains changes quickly.

The mountain guides and mountain leaders offer supervised and themed hikes in the La Plagne area. They will sharpen your gaze on the beauties of the mountains thanks to their knowledge. Go to the tourist offices to contact the various service providers on site.
All our advice before going hiking
Discover the Roche de Mio, a must see
This hike is ideal for discovering the high altitude resorts of La Plagne, lasting 4h30 in total for a distance of 12.7km. It starts from the car park at the top of Belle Plagne, not far from the Chalets Cimes and Vallon by Montagnettes, you will take the carriage road (passing to the right of the alpine chalets), 300m after taking the path on your right which goes up to the Inversens tunnel. You will then cross the tunnel. Once on the other side of the tunnel, you continue on the carriage road to Roche de Mio (2739m).
From La Roche de Moi, you will enjoy a beautiful panorama of the Alps (orientation table behind the arrival station of the gondola lift). For the descent, this time you will take the road that goes down on the left and passes under the Roche de Mio gondola lift. You will arrive at the Lac des Blanchets (La Plagne drinking water reservoir). Here you will have the opportunity to see Bouquetins at the level of Roche fendue. You will then go down towards the Col de Forcle and Belle Plagne.
The loop of Lac Vert for a nice natural show
This hike is suitable for families with young children and lasts about 1h30 in total for a distance of 3.5km. Departing from the Plagne Centre at the parachuting memorial (shuttle stop), you will take the path down to Lac Vert. Be careful, this path is steep for about ten minutes. Possibility of passing by the variant : To avoid the steep path at the beginning of the walk, it is also possible to go down to the bottom of Plagne Centre along the road. The start of the path is about 100 metres after the biomass boiler room (last building in Plagne Centre).
At Lac Vert, you'll enjoy a magnificent view of Mont Blanc-or an orientation table, picnic tables and barbecues. Please note that swimming is not possible here.
After a break at Lac Vert, continue up the path towards Plagne Aime 2000 (arriving under the Club Med 3 tridents). Follow the road as far as the caterpillar garage and join the carriageway that passes under the Club Med 4 tridents. Head back down towards the Jean-Luc Crétier slalom stadium and return to Plagne Centre on the main square.
