What to do in summer in Tignes? Our typical week

Summer is almost here. This year, dare a different and refreshing stay in the mountains. Far from the crowds on the beaches, come and contemplate the beauty of the summits of Tignes. Day 1 : arrival at Taos in Tignes

You start your stay by discovering our establishment Le Taos. This summer, it will be open from July 8 to September 2, 2023. Large apartments with all comforts and 100% equipped, New Mexico inspired atmosphere, swimming pool and sauna, relaxation room,... All this from 210€/week/person.

On site, you are immediately immersed in a New Mexico inspired atmosphere. Our spacious apartments are ideal for a pleasant stay with family or friends. With our fully equipped kitchens, you can choose to cook for yourself or dine out.

Day 2: fun activities with MyTignes

With your MyTignes card, bought before your stay with Montagnettes at the price of 24€/person instead of 48€ for 7 days, you can discover the resort. The MyTignes card is your key to test and practice many activities in Tignes. Whether it is "beach" or "family" activities, there is something for everyone.

With your card, you start the day with an hour of tennis. This year, the vacations are sporty. Your children then enjoy a little trampoline session, the perfect time to recover from your morning sports session. After a walk around the lake of Tignes, you settle down for a picnic with a view on the summits and the turquoise water of the lake.

In the afternoon, it's off to the Lagoon pool to cool off and have fun: slide, waterfall, bubble bed, counter-current, baby pool, etc. You'll have a blast.

Day 3: a day at the beach

Less than 5 minutes walk from Taos, you will find the Tignes sports beach and the lake. This morning, you will spend it at the beach at an altitude of more than 2000 meters! Here, there is no need to fight to find a place to enjoy. You can borrow equipment at the house of Tignes le lac. Badminton, ping-pong, table soccer, diabolos, skipping ropes, balls,...

Lunch is spent on the terrace of one of the restaurants around the lake before getting into the water. Your MyTignes card entitles you to two 30-minute sessions on the water sports base. This afternoon, let's go for the Pédal'eau. You can admire the peaks while being on a turquoise water. A change of scenery guaranteed!

Back to the beach for a game of pétanque before having an aperitif in your apartment and enjoying a good home-made meal from your 100% equipped kitchen.

Day 4: discovery of the Sassière lake

Today, you leave on the paths of Tignes for the inescapable hike: the lake of Sassière. A real jewel of the Vanoise park, this very accessible hike will only take you two hours. Waterfalls, streams, flowers, marmots, cows, chamois and even ibexes are waiting for you on your way.

After this morning of hiking, return to Taos for an afternoon of relaxation in our wellness area and to take a dip in our pool.

Day 5: The effortless summits

After a nice hike yesterday, you prefer to save money and decide to take a lift. With your MyTignes card, you have unlimited access to several lifts so you might as well take advantage of it. Let's go to the Tovière ski lift near the lake.

After an effortless climb to admire the scenery, you arrive at 2740 meters of altitude. Up there, you take out your phone to take many pictures of the peaks and you even see the Mont Blanc.

The descent is also done by the ski lift. Back to the lake to enjoy the activities. On the program this afternoon: trampoline, archery, mini golf and ping pong.

Day 6: Local flavors and freshness

Thursday is market day in Tignes. It is located less than 3 minutes walk from Taos. You will be looking for fresh and local products to taste at the end of your stay but also to bring back home to prolong your vacations once you are back home.

After a trip to the market and the preparation of a good picnic to take away, you put on your sneakers to go to the Gouille and the Cascade de Salin. It will take you 20 minutes to get to the gouille from Tignes Le Lavachet and another 10 minutes to get to the foot of the waterfall. On the spot, you can enjoy your picnic while taking advantage of the coolness of the place. Little advice: go there between 11am and 3pm to see the sunny gully. On the way back, you will discover the botanical path. What to delight the amateurs of flowers.

How to prepare for a hike?

Day 7 : last moments on the high beach

For this last day, you choose an activity that guarantees a good dose of adrenaline: Acroland! You can choose between a slide with a springboard, a track with bodyboards or a slide on a buoy. 3 levels are possible: 6m, 9m and 12m. You will be able to fly in the air before finishing with a nice dive in the lake.

You can then organize a game of beach volleyball, squash, take a last trip to the Lagon pool, play an hour of tennis, etc. In short, do the activities still available on your MyTignes card.

If you like to ride, the MyTignes card gives you unlimited access to the Bikepark. All you have to do is bring your equipment or rent it directly on site.

Day 8: departure

It is already the day of departure but you leave Tignes with a lot of memories thanks to your stay at Taos. You will definitely come back next year!
